Having an oily nose is common with oily skin, but it is tricky to deal with when you have a normal to combination skin type. This is because the sebaceous glands in your nose are hyperactive and produce more than the required oil to keep the skin lubricated. Interestingly, to deal with an oily nose is the same as to deal with general oily skin. Here are some tips for you:
Choose the right product:
Choose products carefully. Even if it’s only your nose that is oily, it can break out and worsen the skin condition, so choose oil-free but hydrating products.
Moisturize and exfoliate regularly:
These two steps of skincare are necessary to calm down hyperactive oil glands. So while moisturizing or exfoliating, keep your focus around your nose.
Use oil mattifiers:
When your whole face is normal but your nose is too oily, try using oil mattifiers to reduce the shiny look of your nose.
Use blotting sheets:
Carry blotting sheets with you and dab the excess oil from your nose whenever it gets too oily.
Add salicylic acid to your routine:
An oily nose tends to be a cause of acne in this area. So add salicylic acid to your skincare routine.
