Salicylic acid possesses significant anti-inflammatory activity. It acts as a great exfoliator. When you use a product containing salicylic acid, it removes dead cells from your skin. It has a slight acidic effect on the skin which resulted in lowering inflammation and further acne.
Salicylic acid breaks down the cells that contribute to the blockage of skin pores. Therefore, it removes whitehead and blackhead from the skin. So, people with oily skin can get benefit from products containing salicylic acid.
Salicylic acid loses the keratin while treating the conditions like dermatitis or acne scars resulting in the removal of plague and dead skin. It also helps to recover the discolouration from acne marks.
