You must have tried vanilla as a food flavor. You might have heard of its benefits in aromatherapy too. But do you know how beneficial it is for your skin? Then let me tell you how beneficial it is as an essential oil.

The vanilla essential oil has been used in aromatherapy for a calming and relaxing sensation. Similar benefits can be extracted for your skin too. This essential oil has antioxidant properties and is well known for its antibacterial and antifungal actions. It is also loaded with vitamins, particularly B vitamins, which are believed to be a holy grail for our skin.

Let’s list out some of the benefits of vanilla essential oil for your skin:
- It neutralizes free radicals and also repairs the already damaged skin.
- It slows down the aging process.
- It fights acne and prevents your skin from any more breakouts.
- It soothes redness and irritation.
- It makes your skin feel more rejuvenated.
- It also brightens dull and dry skin, making it soft, supple, and radiant.
It is not safe to use pure vanilla oil on your skin. Always use a carrier oil. Vanilla essential oil is quite expensive so, if you find it at a cheap price, the product may contain artificial scents only and not actual vanilla essential oil.
