Steps on How to Remove Make-Up Effectively

Skincare is very important. Regardless if it’s the 10-step or 3-step routine, it’s equally important to remove your makeup going to bed. Wearing makeup overnight can lead to unnecessary skin problems.

So how are you supposed to wash it all off?

Step #1: Remove Eye Make-Up

Removing mascara and eye shadow can be quite tricky. They smudge and linger longer than we want them to. So an oil-based make-up remover might do the trick and break it down faster than usual.

Just apply 2 to 3 pumps of the oil-based make-up remover on a clean cotton pad, and wipe it gently around the eyes. And do not forget your eyebrows!

Step #2: Wash with an Oil-Based Cleanser

“Oil dissolves oil”, so don’t be too scared to use an oil-based cleanser if your skin is already greasy to begin with. Besides, this is just your first cleanser. It will wash off make-up effectively without harming the integrity of your skin.

Step #3: Wash with a Foam Cleanser

Just to make sure that there is no more dirt hiding in tiny crevices, cleanse with a gentle facial wash and rinse with lukewarm water.

When all of this is done, you can now proceed with your usual skincare.
