If you have done Botox already, you are probably familiar with how it works– relaxing your muscle for the wrinkles to disappear temporarily.
But did you know that it can be used for your skin too?
It’s called “Skin Botox” or “Meso Botox”.
It has been around for a decade already and has been done most frequently in countries like Korea.
If you have ever wondered how K-Pop superstars get that glass skin, this could be one of the procedures that they do.

How does it work?
For a regular botox, we just inject it into the muscle. While for Skin Botox, we inject the product just below the surface of the skin to target the pores.
Since the target is different, more injections are needed.
What can you expect after?
You can anticipate getting tighter skin with fewer fine lines.
It is also expected to have less oil production because of the pores getting smaller. This is why it is also a good option for those who want to keep acne breakouts at bay.
However, just like the usual Botox, effects do not last very long. It can vary between 3 to 6 months.
If you want to have more sustainable effects, consider combining it with other treatments like vampire facial (PRP) or anything that works on promoting collagen synthesis.

What else should you know?
It is an off-label procedure, so you might encounter some clinics that do not offer this kind of treatment.
