Mistakes to Avoid while Using an Eye Cream

Eye creams are a needlessly essential part of skincare. But they are not that easy to apply. Let’s discuss some of the common mistakes to avoid while applying eye cream

Applying it harshly:

The skin encircling our eyes is very delicate, and applying eye cream with harsh and rushing hands can cause more damage than benefits. That’s why it is suggested to apply it with your ring finger with minimal force.

Not applying with the right frequency:

Eye creams are usually formulated with lighter formulas because our eye area is very delicate and can’t tolerate strong formulas. So for getting the optimal results, you should be applying eye cream twice a day, regularly.

Applying too close to the lash line:

Eye creams should be applied around your eyes. But it should not be too close that it enters your eyes or touch the lash line as it can result in burning or irritation in the eye and sticking of eyelashes. At least keep an area of about half an inch.

Applying in the wrong order:

Just like your whole skincare layering, eye cream has the same rule. Consider the consistency of your eye cream, if it is thicker than your moisturizer, it should be applied after applying moisturizer.
