Summer is almost over, and this means that for some people, the long hours of sun exposure and hanging out by the pool is also over; therefore, you must prepare your skin to go back to reality. The long hours of sun exposure, salt, and chlorine from the pool, beach, or lakes may have messed up your skin. Hence you must prepare it to recover the hydration. Take Care of Your Skin
Here we will mention some recommendations so you can take care of your skin after the summer:
- Keep applying and reapplying your sunscreen as usual: Even if you are no longer exposed to long periods of the sun, you must apply it regularly. UV light is present throughout the year, and it can still cause sunburn, wrinkles, pigmentation, and premature aging.
- Wash your face twice a day: Do it every morning and every night before going to sleep. It will help you to remove bacteria, dead skin and, at the same time, will prepare the skin to absorb other skin products.
- Check your skin for new moles and freckles: One of the main causes of melanoma (skin cancer) is prolonged sun exposure. Don’t forget to consult with your dermatologist if you start noticing new skin lesions.
