Polyglutamic acid (PGA) is an acid but with no exfoliation or peeling properties. It is a moisturizing ingredient that is said to hold 4 times more water than hyaluronic acid. PGA has a large structure and imparts a humectant effect by staying on the skin, giving a glowing and luminescent glass look.

It is safe to use with other skincare ingredients like vitamin C, retinol, etc. You can use it as frequently as your skin demands. But there can be a few exceptions that might react to it. So it is better to check the complete ingredient list and do a patch test.
