Skincare Mistakes That Are Causing You Acne

You won’t believe it, but your acne might be because of one wrong move in your skincare. Here are a few common skincare mistakes. Keep reading and know how to avoid them.

Choosing the wrong product

Essential products like sunscreen, moisturizers, cleansers, etc., can also result in acne when they are not compatible with your skin. Every skin is unique, and choosing the wrong product can make you pay for it. Don’t fall for the marketing claims; always check the ingredient list if a product is suitable for your skin type or not.

Using makeup wipes

Makeup wipes don’t cause acne, but the problem with them is that they don’t do their job correctly. The makeup residues left because of them will eventually clog your pores and make you break out.

Washing your face too often

Greasy skin must be irritating for you but washing your face too often isn’t the right option. It affects the skin’s balance and makes your skin overly dry, which stimulates oil glands to produce more oil, resulting in more oily skin with breakouts.

Using physical exfoliation

Using physical exfoliation over acne-prone skin is not a wise choice. It will make your acne worse. Go for chemical exfoliants like AHAs and BHAs.
