How to Deal with Your Oily T-Zone?

Our skin physiologically bears oil glands that release oil to keep our skin moisturized and hydrated. It is easier to deal with if your whole face is oily but how to manage it when only the T-zone is oily? Here is a guide for you.

How to Deal with Your Oily T-Zone?

T-zone involves our forehead, nose and chin. In combination skin, usually, only the t-zone is oily, making it more prone to acne, blackheads and whiteheads. The trickiest part of this skin type is to manage the oiliness of your t-zone while maintaining the moisture in the dry areas. You need to be careful with choosing your products because products to control oil can make the dry areas worse. Let’s break it down into steps:

  • Wash your face regularly, at least twice a day.
  • Use a mild cleanser, preferably a foaming cleanser.
  • No matter what type of exfoliation you are opting for, exfoliate regularly.
  • Moisturization is vital as fully moisturized, and hydrated skin will produce less skin oil. Because our oil glands are hyper activated when skin is too dry.
  • Prefer powder cosmetic products over cream or gel products. Powder products help to absorb oil.
  • Use clay or gram flour masks as they are excellent to control oil on your skin, with particular consideration on your t-zone. If these masks make your cheeks too dry, you can apply them on your t-zone only.
