How to Tighten the Loose and Saggy Skin?

Loose and saggy skin isn’t liked as it makes you look older. But while most remedies are focused on prevention, there is a need to address how to reverse this sagging. Here is a guide to introduce you to various approaches to address your loose skin.

Our skin contains two essential components that keep our skin youthful, i.e., collagen and elastin. These two components decline as we age. The key is to promote the growth of these two components to reverse or at least reduce the loose skin. So there are several approaches by which we can reverse the sagging skin.

Surgical approaches: Loose and Saggy Skin

In this approach, we have surgical means to lift the skin and make it look less aged, such as facelift, neck lift, etc.

If you don’t want to go for surgical ways, there are non-surgical options too, that involve radiofrequency and ultrasound techniques. The Radiofrequency technique is proven to be more effective, mainly because home RF devices are also available.

Firming creams and lotions:

There are many marketed topical applications available, but they are more minor and slow. They basically comprise of:

Antioxidants: Vitamin B, C & E decrease oxidative stress and prevent wrinkling. They are not very effective for tightening loose skin.

Cell regulators: They contain peptides, retinol, and growth factors. They increase collagen production hence are more effective against sagging skin.
