How many units of Botox or Dysport do I need to reduce my wrinkles? This has to be the most asked questions to practitioners during the aesthetic consultation. Nowadays, and in most offices, Botox and other neurotoxins are charged by units, making people worried about the final cost of their treatment.
Botox and Dysport work as muscle relaxers; however, with Dysport, the results can be visible 24-48 hours after the injections, while Botox can take up to five days to show results. They will reach the maximum effect after two weeks, and by the end of the second month, the muscle movement will progressively be activated. Each practitioner has their favorite, so always consult with them before deciding.
For each unit of Botox injected, three units of Dysport are needed; don’t get confused about the name during your consultation. Overall prices can be similar, but the cost per unit is not the same.
