Our hands are probably one of the most neglected parts of our body. Our face might be the first thing people see, but our hands are the reason we are able to achieve our accomplishments for the day. Hand Care Routine
So don’t you think they deserve more attention than what we usually give them?
What causes our hands to age faster?
Genetically speaking, as we age, the skin on our hands loses elasticity, plumpness, and fat. Moreover, as we expose them to UV rays and chemicals, it contributes to our hands’ dryness and vulnerability to the external environment. This is why we get more wrinkles, dark spots, and creepy skin.
So what can we do? Hand Care Routine
1.Protect
Just like our face, we need to protect the skin of our hands by wearing sunblock. This means extending your sunblock from your face down to your chest and hands.
2.Moisturize
Keep a travel-sized lotion inside your bag and make it a habit to apply every now and then especially if you frequently wash your hands.
3.Exfoliate Hand Care Routine
You can use lotions with hydroxy acids or homemade scrubs to rub off dead skin cells that contribute to the dullness and darkness of your skin.
4.Treat
If you have extra cash, you can always get microdermabrasion or undergo a resurfacing treatment once a month to renew your skin on a regular basis.
