Dark spots or more specifically the brown spots appear on the skin when some parts of the skin produce more melanin than usual. These spots have no acute or chronic history or outcomes and also need no treatment. But some people tend to remove these spots because of cosmetic reasons. Some people also call these spots age spots or sun damage depending upon their origin. 

Dark spots on the skin can range from light brown to dark brown. The color of dark spots may depend on the tone of a person’s skin. The spots have the same texture as the skin and are not painful.
