Let’s face it. Skincare is expensive. But does it really have to wipe off a chunk of our monthly salary to maintain our skin?

The answer to that is no.
✔ First, know your skin type so that you don’t end up experimenting with a lot of products.
Not because the packaging is cute does not mean that it’s the right one for you.
So before adding that serum to your cart, know for sure if it suits your skin. You can use the Bare-faced Method or Blotting Sheet Method to get a quick view of your skin type.
✔ Second, take advantage of the internet and read up on what works well for your skin type.
Of course, there’s no one-size-fits-all. But combining your skin history with good research will give you an idea of what will work for your skin.
✔ Third, get back to basics.
Eat clean, exercise regularly, and stay away from unhealthy vices like smoking.
If you’re able to commit to a cleaner lifestyle, you will soon discover that you might not even need 50% of the skincare that you own right now.

✔ Lastly, keep your skin clean at all times.
This means washing your face twice a day with a cleanser that doesn’t strip off your barrier and keeping your hands away from your face.
If you touch your face with dirty hands, it is like you’re asking for trouble (pimples).
