Guess what, if there’s a skincare routine for the face, there is also one for the body.
Step 1: Cleanse
Wash off all the dirt with a body cleanser that is not too strong for the skin. Antibacterial soaps are good for keeping germs at bay. However, sometimes it’s too alkaline for the skin, which can cause dryness.
This is an important step because if filth lingers, it can reside in the pit of your hair follicle and grow into an infection causing red bumps.
Step 2: Exfoliate
Scrub off your dead skin cells with gentle exfoliators to get brighter and smoother skin. Just make sure not to rub it too hard to avoid tiny scratches on your skin that can eventually turn into dark discoloration.
By exfoliating twice a week, you can absorb your lotions and creams better and experience faster and more notable results.
Step 3: Moisturize
The nice thing about the body is that you can go all the way with moisturizers without having to worry about clogging your pores. So go and slather as much as you want to lock in hydration right after taking a shower.
Step 4: Treat
If there’s anything you would want to treat, you can either apply the cream right before or after putting on some lotion. The difference is, by applying it first, you can absorb more of the active ingredients.
