What Are the Benefits of Adding Vitamin E to Your Skincare Routine and Diet?

Vitamin E works as an antioxidant and has many other benefits. It is considered one of the best vitamins you can apply to your skin, especially after you turn thirty and start noticing the loss of collagen.

Where can I find Vitamin E?

This vitamin is found in seeds, vegetable oils (sunflower, soybean), hazelnuts, peanuts, and even in some fruits and green food like spinach. You can also find them as supplements, and most cosmetic products are adding them as part of their active ingredients.

How do I know if my products contain Vitamin E?

You probably won’t find the exact word “Vitamin E” written on the box, but this vitamin is also known as alpha-tocopherol. Hence, you already know it refers to vitamin E when you notice this word.

What are the benefits of vitamin E?

  • Hydrates: It can penetrate deeply into the skin, giving you deep hydration. You can choose a serum and add a few drops to your favorite moisturizer, and you will see how the hydration improves. It not only hydrates but improves the lipid barrier in the skin that holds moisture and avoids dehydration.
  • Prevents sun damage: It is one of the most powerful ingredients to fight sun damage. It can protect you from UV damage and free radicals at the same time.
  • Antioxidant: This works by protecting you against free radicals and also can potentiate the effect of other antioxidants like Vitamin C.
