What is post inflammatory hyperpigmentation?

What is it made of?
It is composed of the overproduction of melanin, which is responsible for the dark color.
What causes it?
It occurs after a skin injury has tried to heal.
How is it treated?
There are various ways of treating it.
Chemical peel:
The most commonly used chemical peels for dark spots are glycolic, azelaic, trichloroacetic acid, and resorcinol. It works by removing the dead skin cells, which then reveals the fresher and younger cells underneath.
The dose of the chemical peel to be used and the number of sessions will depend on the size of the dark spot and how well your skin responds to the peel.
Lasers:
Lasers are another way of lightening marks effectively. It may take more than one session to appreciate a significant difference though. It breaks the pigment into smaller pieces, which will then be metabolized by the body.
Skincare:
