In search of a hair dryer, I learned that not all hair dryers are the same. Where some are safer for your strands, others are a bit more harmful.
Apparently, there are different specs that we need to consider while looking for a hairdryer if you want to make sure that you’re not damaging your hair.

Power
If you have thin/ fine hair, they say that 1200w should be enough. For very thick and curly hair, you can go up to 1800w. And if you have normal hair, any power in between shall do.
Heating Material
There are 3 common heating materials, namely, tourmaline, ceramic, and ionic.
Among these 3, ceramic and ionic are thought to be safer for the hair. The former uses infrared heat to keep the hair soft, while the latter uses small water particles from the air to protect your hair from damage.

Additional Features
Preferably, get one with a cool shot button which you can switch to towards the end of drying your hair. They say that cool temperature keeps the style in place by sealing the hair cuticle.
Also, take into account adjustable settings for speed and heat. So that you can adjust according to what your hair can handle. Low settings are ideal for thin and fine hair.
Average settings should be good for normal to thick hair.
