Do you work out for long hours almost five times a week and still don’t get the desired results for your body?
Guess what, this might be something you would be interested in.
EMS stands for Electrical Muscle Stimulation.
As the name suggests, it uses electrical impulses to “stimulate” your muscles.
Since the body cannot distinguish muscle contraction from exercise and electrically stimulated contraction, your muscle will respond in the same way.
It was initially being used by athletes to strengthen muscle groups that were difficult to enhance by training alone.
But after years of good feedback, not only in muscle strength but also in body contouring, the aesthetic industry has adopted the use of this machine.
What makes this so interesting?
When you’re working out, you only contract a small portion of the targeted muscle group. This is why it takes time and effort before you actually see visible results.
With EMS, you trigger more muscle fibers in just 30 minutes. Some machine brands even claim that one treatment can increase muscle mass by 16%. And while this is all happening, you are also blasting fat cells that are metabolized by the body and eventually flushed out.
It is supposedly safe for anyone who does not have pacemakers, defibrillators, or other implants that can cause harm with electrical stimulation.
