Foaming cleansers are those cleansers that make foam, like soap but are less harsh. They are not of creamy or flowy texture. It usually needs water to lather and wash away all the dirt and impurities. That’s the excellent property that it efficiently cleanses the skin. It is designed to thoroughly cleanse the skin and its pores.

It suits best for normal, combination, and oily skin. It strips away some amount of natural oils giving dry and slightly tight skin. That’s why it doesn’t suit dry skin type. But this property makes it ideal for teenage acne. 

Usually, foam-based cleansers contain a foaming agent named sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS). This ingredient is harsh for dry and sensitive skin. Some people with normal skin can also react to SLS. Such people can opt for SLS-free foaming cleansers. They are available in cloud-like texture and don’t need to lather before applying.
