Sensitive skin requires attention throughout the year. But one has to be especially cautious in the winter season as winters have a high tendency to trigger flare-ups. Let’s find out how you can take care of sensitive skin in this season.                           

Sensitive skin quickly becomes irritated, red, and itchy. In fact, some innocent-looking cosmetics could trigger severe flare-ups. This process becomes more frequent in winters. Sometimes, the regular products that your skin is habitual of could trigger a reaction during winters. Here are some tips to address this skin type in winters:

Carefully pick any product:

Be it a cosmetic product, toiletry, or a skincare product, read the whole ingredient list. Do not even ignore mild irritants.                           

A humidifier is a necessity:

Preferably in your bedroom, so during the night, your skin gets maximum moisture and time to hydrate itself.

Opt for lukewarm water:

If you suffer from sensitive skin, you need to avoid hot showers at all costs. Always opt for lukewarm water.

Choose suitable clothing:

Irritating fibers in your fabric like polyester and nylon can also irritate your skin and trigger a flare-up. If you have such severe sensitive skin issues, it would be best to stick to cotton fabrics.
