Although blackheads are tiny in appearance, excessive amounts can give a rough appearance to your face. Blackheads are the most common form of acne that develops on your skin when the dead skin cells clog the pores. People with oily skin are more vulnerable to have blackheads. It may be tempting to try to pinch or push the black plug out, but this can cause unnecessary scarring and other damage to your skin. Here are some tips that you can follow consistently to get rid of blackheads.
Salicylic acid cleansing:
Salicylic acid is the preferred ingredient for treating blackheads and whiteheads because it breaks down the materials that clog pores:
- Excess oil
- Dead skin cells
Ways to use a salicylic acid-containing cleanser:
- Wash your face merely with water and pat dry it.
- Then take hot water in a bowl. The hot water should be hot enough not to burn the face. Steam your face with this hot water by covering your head. This will soften the pores.
- Now apply the cleanser and slightly remove your blackheads.
