Every traditional skincare product might not be friendly all the time. Everything that your grandma has informed you about should not be applied to your skin. Following are some tips that were used traditionally but their disadvantages have been proved scientifically, so these should seriously be eradicated from your skincare routine

Baking soda to fill up the pores:

High ph and acidic nature of baking soda can harm your skin and can cause rashes and burns. Some people also use baking soda to remove blackheads that can also rip off the protective layer of the skin.  

Coconut oil: 

Traditionally coconut oil has been used to tame your skin glowing and beautiful. But according to scientific research, the proteins present in coconut milk have high molecular weight and saturated proteins that can clog the pores. This makes your skin look  patchy. If used excessively, it can also cause extreme dryness or maybe eczema.

Extremely hot Water: 

Extremely hot water when used on face skin, it rips off the protective layer of the skin. It also destroys the natural body stores of moisture and makes our skin excessively dry. So always use lukewarm water.
