Every one of you experiences the puffiness under your eyes when you wake up from deep sleep. Or it may be due to the disturbance of your sleep cycle.
Your eyes become baggy and that also makes your dark circle more prominent. In some people, this condition may be inherited. Following are some tips that you can follow to potentially reduce the puffiness of your eyes:
- Drink at least 8-9 glasses of water every day, this will hydrate your skin and reduce puffiness as well.
- The caffeine or theophylline in tea bags is a very strong antioxidant and anti-inflammatory agent. Keep a half-wet tea bag over your eyes for 5 to 6 minutes.
- Ice is also a good anti-inflammatory activity. Scrub your eyes with ice for a few minutes and see the results. You can also use a chilled spoon and cold wet cloth.
- Use sunscreen on your skin before going into an outside environment or excessive sunlight.
- Remove your makeup before going to bed with a good-quality moisturizing lotion or a real make-up remover.
- Make fresh vegetable or fruit juices a daily part of your life.
- Increase your iron intake and reduce your salt intake.
