Some of our Skincare Products are cleanser, toner, serum, moisturizer, and mask; all of them have a different function and texture; hence the amount of product used in our skincare is different. One of the common complaints about products is that they are finished quickly or are not producing any effect; this may be due to choosing the wrong product for your type of skin or that you are using the wrong amount.
It’s nice to know that there is an average amount of product depending on their function; the main goal is to allow the product to be spread all over the face. The amount of cleanser, toner, moisturizer, and serum can be modified on some occasions, depending on your skin type or the concentration, but the sunscreen should always stay the same.
Here is the amount of Skincare Product You Should Use
- Cleanser: the recommended quantity is equivalent to the size of a dime or a blackberry, also two or three pumps.
- Moisturizer: an almond size is enough to cover your face and neck. If your skin is dry, do not increase the amount of product, this will not make any difference and, in fact, can cause acne; instead, change your product and look for a specific one to treat your concern.
- Eye cream: a pea-size is what you need for each eye. Apply it in one of your ring fingers, share it with your other hand, and then apply it around the eyes doing circular movements. Avoid using too close to the eyelids because it can irritate.
- Serum: you only need a small amount; two or three drops are more than enough; remember that usually, the active ingredients found on the serum are highly concentrated.
- Sunscreen: draw a thin line of the product in two of your fingers, from your knuckle until your fingernail, just for your face.
- Nourishing Oils: you can apply a little bit more than a few drops, just enough to cover all your face.
