The Ultimate Guide To Skincare Routine In Summers

The scorching heat of sun in summers has no mercy to your skin and there is a need for a summer skincare routine for all.

You need not to worry because we will cover all the important aspects one needs to know for a healthier skin in summers.

Cleansing:

Cleansing is the most important element of every good skincare routine and it becomes all the more important during summer. Ingredients like salicylic acid, Niacinamide or green tea are recommended for oil reduction in skin. You can also add a product that helps exfoliate dead skin but make sure that you opt for a mild exfoliant as the skin can get sensitive during the hot season.

Hydration – the magical wand for your skin:

Hydration is the key to healthier and plumpier skin. For excessive dry skin, go with ingredients like omega 3 fatty acids and humectants like hyaluronic acid, glycerine, sodium hyaluronate or sodium lactate and for oily skin.

Aloe vera gel will do wonders. Lastly, for combination skin, a light lotion is what is recommended but do not excessively use it on your skin because it’s summer already!

Sunscreen – the savior:

It will come as no surprise that the experts were unanimous on the one product that we should all be using in the summer and all year round. It is SPF. Wearing sunscreen not only reduces your risk of skin cancer but also protects your skin against fine lines and wrinkles caused by UV rays.

Antioxidants – the better the defense:

They are excellent for reducing the oxidative stress that occurs as a consequence of UV damage, and they work in conjunction with your SPF to give the optimal protection.

Antioxidants are an ingredient that protects skin from the effects of free radicals, which often come from exposure to UV rays, pollution, or other external aggressors. For example, vitamin E can be great for this.

Make sure you eat a balanced diet and keep your hydration to maximum under the bright sun. This will boost your skin and body within!
