You may be one of those religious followers of the 10-step routine and swear by its beautiful effects. Or maybe one of those at the other end of the spectrum who likes to keep things simple.
Either way, best is to listen to your skin needs and not what’s trending on social media.
So if you experience dryness and flakiness from too much exfoliation or breakouts from too much layering of products, you might want to take a break from your 10-step routine and practice “skip care” for a while.
Skip care skips all the extra fluff that your skin does not need. Not only will it save your skin from further damage, but it also helps you save time, money, and space.
Instead of layering multiple skincare products, you might want to narrow it down to three or four that contain more actives or are more concentrated. This way, you are focusing on the quality rather than the quantity.
But of course, hold on to the holy trinity: cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen. They’re the most basic food for your skin.
So weigh the pros and cons to see which one (skip care or 10-step skincare) works best for your time, wallet, and skin.
