How to Watch Over Your Mole

Moles are not supposed to be bothersome. Most of them have been there for so long that you forget if they existed in the first place. They also serve as an identifying mark for your body.

Everyone has moles and we usually get them during our childhood and teenage years.

They are groups of pigmented cells that are not supposed to cause you any trouble.

However, there are rare cases when the mole is cancerous. So, it would be a good practice to look at your moles once in a while to check if they are showing signs.

All you need to remember is “A-B-C-D-E”.

A is for Asymmetrical shape.

Look closely and check if the right and left sides have pretty much the same shape.

B is for Border.

The border of your mole should be smooth or even. So, check for notches and any irregularities.

C is for Color.

The color of your mole shouldn’t change and it should be somehow uniform throughout.

D is for Diameter.

Your mole shouldn’t be growing significantly and there shouldn’t be new growths sprouting from your mole.

E is for Evolving.

Your mole’s appearance shouldn’t be changing. A sudden and obvious change in color, size, and shape must prompt you to see a doctor.
