How to recover hyaluronic acid for fresher and youthful skin?

First of all, hyaluronic acid is a substance found naturally in our body in the eyes, cartilage, joints, and skin. Its primary function in the skin is to retain water and maintain proper hydration, and it can even improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

One of the reasons why we lose hyaluronic acid in our skin is aging; from the age of 25, we begin to progressively lose the reserves of collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid. Prolonged exposure to UV rays, lack of sleep, incorrect use or lack of skin care products, and smoking are other factors that accelerate this loss.

How can we replenish hyaluronic acid?

Maintaining a good diet and hydration is vital; however, topical products and even injected directly into the skin offer more evident results. There are several types of hyaluronic acid and should be chosen depending on your skin’s needs.

The most effective way to replenish this substance is by infiltration. Low molecular weight or non-crosslinked hyaluronic acid can penetrate deeply and hydrate. Crosslinked hyaluronic acid can act by filling lost volume in areas such as marionette lines, areas around the eyes, smile lines, smoker lines around the lips, and even restore lip volume.
