Henna leaves are often found in hair and body dyes. But you can use organic henna leaf powder as a DIY hair mask. Let me tell you why you need to try it out.
Henna is known as a natural hair dye for ages. A pure henna leaf powder gives auburn hair color. But it has many other hair benefits.
- It bears antifungal properties that help get rid of dandruff, microbial problems, and hair fall. It also reduces itchiness and similar skin conditions.
- It is loaded with vitamin E, which has antioxidant properties.
- Its tannin-rich composition prevents premature hair greying.
- It has nutritional composition; hence applying it over your hair conditions and nourishes the scalp.
- It prevents split ends and boosts hair growth.
How to use Henna leaves?
You can get the organic henna powder and make a DIY hair mask at your home by following the steps:
- Make a thick paste of henna leaf powder by adding water. You can add lemon extract, coffee, or tea brew to improve the color. If you don’t want that, you can simply skip them.
- Apply this thick paste on your hair and leave it for 4-5 hours or overnight. It leaves a stain so make sure you cover your shoulders and workstation properly.
- Wash with plain water and dry your hair.
Some people react to henna leaf powder because they didn’t get the pure leaf powder, as contamination can result in allergic reactions.
