Different Kinds of Toxins

Botox is the first ever botulinum toxins that pioneered the use of toxins for cosmetic purposes. And because of the success of Botox, other brands followed suit.

So, here’s a quick peek at the different kinds of toxins that are now being used in aesthetic clinics.

Neuronox

Although it is $100 to $200 cheaper, it is a Botulinum toxin type A (BTX-A) like Botox. And according to a study, its efficacy and safety are comparable to Botox.

The difference is it’s made in Korea and is relatively new in the scene compared to Botox

Xeomin

Xeomin, like Botox and Neuronox, is also a botulinum toxin type A (BTX-A).

However, it doesn’t contain accessory proteins. Hence, coining it “naked botox”. Because of its pure and clean form, they claim that it works faster making it a good alternative to those who have developed some level of resistance to Botox.

Dysport

Same as the other toxins, it is a botulinum toxin type A (BTX-A). So, it works the same way.

However, Dysport is more dilated than the others. This is why you’ll notice that your doctor will inject more to give the same effect. The reason for this is for the product to spread faster and occupy a larger surface area.
