It could be because of your hormones, frequent friction, dark spots from sun exposure, age spots, eczema, or just dead skin cells. Or sometimes it’s just in your genes especially when you have a dark complexion. 

But don’t worry because there are remedies that you can use to lighten your elbows. 

Lemons

You can never go wrong with lemons. All you have to do is squeeze out the juice and massage it lightly onto your elbows either with your fingertips or cotton. Do this 15 minutes before taking a shower. Don’t get too excited and rub it aggressively  as it can burn your skin… After all, it is still acid. Dark Elbows

Turmeric

Not only is turmeric good for our health but it is also an antioxidant that can lighten dark spots. Just mix turmeric powder with a few drops of water until it turns into a paste. Apply it to your skin and let it sit for 30 minutes before rinsing it off.

Lemons + Turmeric

If you want something more powerful, combining these two is always an option. Mix 2 teaspoons of turmeric powder with 3 tablespoons of lemon. Leave it on your skin for 15 minutes and rinse with cold water.
