  • Chemical exfoliator

Mandelic acid is a great chemical exfoliator. It removes the dead layer of cells by loosening the bond that holds the dead cell. As a result, the skin texture becomes smooth and brightened. 

  • Anti-aging agent

The accumulation of dead cells leads to a dull complexion appearing in fine lines. Mandelic acid helps to remove debris from the skin and makes it look younger and radiant 

  • Reduces hyperpigmentation

Mandelic acid effectively reduces hyperpigmentation. The study shows that mandelic acid reduces 50% of melasma in the first four weeks of use which results in an even tone and complexion. 

  • Antibacterial properties

The antibacterial properties of mandelic acid are very helpful in fighting acne. It controls the production of sebum that triggers acne. It effectively treats cystic acne. The combination of salicylic acid and mandelic acid at lower concentrations provide good results in treating acne.
