Should You Put Your Skincare Products in a Refrigerator?

Putting your daily skincare products in the refrigerator is a genuine question, particularly now when skincare refrigerators are introduced. Let’s try to understand it properly if your skincare needs the refrigerator to last longer.  

Should You Put Your Skincare Products in a Refrigerator?

It would be a generalized answer to say yes or no. Storage conditions vary with every product and its formulation. Before launching the product in the market, every brand does a thorough analysis of the product under several conditions to see where the product will survive. So if the brands suggest you to put the product in the refrigerator, then you should do it otherwise, there is no need. It is interesting to hear that keeping skincare products in a refrigerator does not extend the product’s shelf life.   

Should You Put Your Skincare Products in a Refrigerator?

Some products can be placed in the refrigerator as applying the cool product on your skin has a soothing effect. It also helps to relieve itchy and irritated skin. They work better when placed in cool conditions. Certain products like vitamin c, water-based toners, gels, sheet masks, and serums can be placed in the refrigerator. But creams and other products shouldn’t be placed in the refrigerator unless recommended because the low temperature can alter the consistency and effect of the product.
