Avocado is a super fruit with a nutritious composition. It contains all the necessary fats, vitamins and minerals such as biotin. But its skin benefits are all because of two groups of its constituents:
- Healthy fats
- Vitamin C & E

They replenish the lost skin barrier, prevent damage, breakouts, and provide the necessary hydration. The best way to use avocado for skin benefits is its application in the raw form. Just peel, pit and apply it on your skin. You can also use avocado oil for these benefits.
Use as a face mask:
You can also make a face mask for added benefits; here is a simple recipe for you. You will need:
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil
- 1/2 ripe avocado (peeled and pitted)
- 1 teaspoon honey
- 1 teaspoon water
Mix them by using a blender and make a paste. Apply it immediately on your clean face. Rinse it off after letting it sit for 15-20 minutes at least, and enjoy your soft, smooth and hydrated skin.
