What do psoriasis and eczema have in common?
Both pathologies are capable of causing a burning sensation, irritation, and redness and appear in areas such as elbows, hands, feet, face, and other parts of the body.

What are the differences between psoriasis and eczema?
In terms of origin, psoriasis is caused by an alteration of the immune system that alters the growth of the cells that form the skin, thus allowing them to accumulate forming plaques while, eczema is more related to an inflammation of a specific area of the skin caused by certain factors such as bacteria, environmental alterations, and even genetic predisposition.
Eczema can cause intense itching and reddish and even slightly brown patches on the skin, accompanied by scabs. On the other hand, psoriasis has a mechanism of action that some do not understand; it produces reddish and scaly patches and sometimes mild itching.
It is very important to note that psoriasis does not only refer to skin lesions but can also be accompanied by other systemic manifestations such as joint alterations. In comparison, eczema can limit itself to skin lesions.
