Are you confused about choosing the right sunscreen for your skin type? Here is a helpful guide for you, so keep reading to decide the best sunscreen for yourself.

Everyone knows how important sunscreen is for your skin. It is the easiest and best way to protect your skin from harsh radiation. Radiations from the sun contain two types of UV rays: UVA and UVB. UVB is more responsible for sunburns, while UVA causes premature aging, wrinkles, and dark spots. Using a “broad-spectrum” sunscreen can prevent you from both types of radiation.

The right SPF for your skin type
Choosing the right SPF is very difficult when we have loaded drug store shelves. SPF means “sun protection factor,” which means how much it filters out the sun radiation. So always choose an SPF of 30 or higher.

For dry skin, always prefer a sunscreen with moisturizers and hydrating ingredients. While for oily and acne-prone skin, you must check that it is “non-comedogenic” so it won’t clog pores. For sensitive skin types, you can use physical or mineral sunscreens that are usually made of zinc oxide and titanium dioxide.

There are also chemical sunscreens containing avobenzone and oxybenzone. They are easier to apply but might cause irritation to sensitive skin types.
You can always consult your pharmacist to help you choose the right sunscreen, and don’t forget to do a patch test before applying it to your face.
