What To Do If Your Skin Is Dehydrated?

Dehydrated skin means that your skin lacks moisture and may be losing water. It can be caused by numerous reasons such as prolonged sun exposure, hot baths, wrong skincare products, and other situations that we encounter in our daily lives.

In this post, we will tell you what to do if your skin is dehydrated:

First of all, you need to figure out what is causing your skin dehydration. Each cause must be treated differently; hence not all the treatments will be the same, here we will only mention the general measures to address this concern.

  • Add hydrating ingredients to your skincare routine: Always apply a hydrating serum before your moisturizer; try ingredients like aloe vera, ceramides, hyaluronic acid, glycerine.
  • Avoid scrubs: In most cases, they can be abrasive and cause redness and irritation; try enzymatic peelings instead.
  • Add a humidifier in your room: They can stabilize the humidity levels in closed spaces and improve your skin dryness.
  • Avoid extreme temperatures: During summer, avoid prolonged sun exposure and during winter, cover your skin with jackets or long sleeves to avoid contact with the cold wind.
  • Wear sunscreen: It is a must to treat any skin pathology. Use it all year long and never forget to reapply.
