Trust these 4 natural home remedies to lighten your dark inner thighs

Try these super-easy and effective home remedies recommended by an expert to get even-toned inner thighs of your dreams.

You know the feeling when you strut down the road flaunting your flawless legs in a pair of micro-mini skirt? And you know the feeling when you reach home, take off the skirt and face the dark reality that exists between your thighs—quite literally so. No points for guessing, we’re talking about the problem that most of us face—that of dark inner thighs.

One of the main reasons for darkening of the inner thigh region is the presence of a high level of uric acid in the body. Other reasons could range from dryness of the skin, hormonal imbalances, or simply friction caused from tight clothing. You could also get hyperpigmentation on their inner thighs if the thighs rub together while walking or running,” says Dr Blossom Kochhar, chairperson, Blossom Kochhar Group of Companies.

Come on ladies, stop fretting already. Using natural ingredients and home remedies can solve almost every problem in the world. So just try these four remedies recommended by Dr Kochhar for the win, okay?

1. The lactic acid pack

Mix 2 teaspoons of yogurt, 1 teaspoon of milk powder, 1 teaspoon of potato juice, and 1 teaspoon lemon juice together. Apply it on the pigmented area for 10-15 minutes and then rinse it off with water. Potato juice and lemon juice have lactic acid and thus, work as skin-lightening agents naturally.

2. The baking powder pack

Mix 1 teaspoon of baking powder in a few drops of water and apply it on your inner thighs. Baking soda is an excellent natural lightening agent and can effectively lighten your pigmented inner thighs and even dark under-arms.

3. The coconut-lemon mix

Mix 2-3 of teaspoons coconut oil and 1 teaspoon of lemon together, apply it on the dark patches and leave it on for 10-15 minutes. While the vitamin-C-packed lemon works towards removing the hyperpigmentation, the coconut oil hydrates and nourishes the area.

4. The lentil pack

Soak ½ cup of red lentil overnight and grind it into a thick paste the morning after. Apply it on your inner thighs, leave it on for 10-15 minutes and rinse it off. Red lentil is a powerhouse for antioxidants and thus, evens out the skin tone.
