Coconut oil is considered an essential beauty ingredient for skincare routine. It possesses great beauty benefits but unfortunately, this is not the case with the face. Keep reading to know more about coconut oil.

Coconut oil has anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. It cannot cure the skin conditions, but it can mitigate the symptoms associated with Eczema, like severe itching and dryness.

2- Coconut oil as a makeup remover

It can be used as makeup remover. It removes dirt and makeup deeply from the skin. Robert Finney, a board certified dermatologist in New York, recommends to use a water-based cleanser after using coconut oil because the fatty acids in it can clog your pores which sometimes causes severe acne breakout.

3- Replenishes dry lips

Joyce Park, a board certified dermatologist, claims that coconut oil is comedogenic, i.e., it can clog pores. So, dermatologists don’t suggest it for oily skin.
