These combinations of products will make your skin flawless

As part of our daily skin routines, we tend to combine many products, especially when it comes to serums.

While in some occasions combinations cause irritation, sensitivity, or just cancel the effects of the products, other times a product acts like a booster enhancing the effects of both products instead.

You can purchase the products separately, but on some occasions, the active ingredients are already mixed with the right concentration needed; hence you don’t have to worry.

The cosmetic industry’s goal nowadays is to make our daily routines more manageable, so just investigate a little bit about it; it can save you some money and space on your shelves.

Here we will go through the most common combinations:

  • Retinoids and peptides: Peptides are small particles made of amino acids, and they work as smaller proteins, therefore penetrate deeper into the skin. They are known mostly because of their moisturizing properties, and their antiaging effects are still being investigated; and while used together with retinoids, they decrease the chances of getting irritation and dryness from their constant use.
  • Salicylic Acid and Niacinamide: Salicylic acid penetrates the pores and unclogs them, also controls sebum production, inflammation, acne, and removes the superficial layer of dead skin cells. When used together with the niacinamide, this effect increases. Niacinamide, also known as vitamin B3, is also able to reduce irritation and pigmentation possibly cause by salicylic and at the same time improves pore appearance, reduces fine lines and wrinkles, moisturize the skin and repair the skin barrier.  Also, niacinamide acts as reinforcing the skin barrier, enhancing pretty much every beneficial change that can b made by other products.
  • Retinoids and Hyaluronic Acid: Hyaluronic Acid is the best moisturizing substance found in the market and our body; therefore, when used in combination with salicylic acid counteracts the possible side effects this may cause like redness and irritation. Between the benefits, you can find improvement of skin elasticity and reduction of fine lines and wrinkles.
