We witnessed a wellspring of swoon-worthy hair and makeup looks at the 62nd annual Grammy Awards tonight, and if you can believe it, a fair share of them were actually created using drugstore products. It’s no joke, folks: Some of your favorite beauty moments from the biggest night in music were achieved using affordable items that almost anyone can access, which just goes to show how far drugstore products have come in terms of quality. (It’s no wonder we have an entire Allure Best of Beauty category dedicated to drugstore goodies now.)
Put simply, you would never be able to guess that these celebrities aren’t wearing high-end hair and makeup products because, the fact of the matter is, they all look like a million bucks. And yet, some of these hair and makeup products will cost you less than $5. I know, I know, it sounds almost too good to be true, but it is.

Would you believe it if we told you Gwen Stefani’s timeless, straight hair look was created with products from Suave Professionals? Well it was, y’all. Celebrity stylist Danilo used the brand’s Keratin Infusion Smoothing Shampoo and Coconut Oil Infusion Conditioner to prep the star’s hair, and then applied the Keratin Infusion Heat Defense Leave-In Conditioner before going in with a straightening iron. To add shine and control frizz and flyaways, Spence used a dime-sized dollop of the Sleek Anti-Frizz Smooth & Shine Cream and then set everything in place with the Flexible Control Finishing Hairspray.

The “Havana” singer’s hair and makeup were both achieved using L’Oreal Paris products, including but not limited to the new Elvive Dream Lengths Restoring Shampoo, the Boost It High Lift Creation Spray, and the best-selling Infallible Pro-Glow Foundation, all of which helped her score shiny, voluminous hair and red-carpet-ready skin.
For Cabello’s second look — a heartfelt performance dedicated to her father — she turned to another drugstore brand. This time, it was Essie, to create a pretty, pale pink manicure that perfectly matched her dress. Specifically, nail artist Kim Truong applied two coats of the shade Free to Roam and sealed it with a later of Speed.Setter top coat.
