Most deodorants eliminate sweating, lousy odor and at the same time can keep the area moisturized, sometimes it can stop working, and you have probably read that it is because your body adapted to the product. It stopped working, but this is not the case.
Why is my deodorant no longer working?
- Hyperhidrosis: it is characterized by excessive sweating that in some conditions is related to other medical conditions, such as hyperthyroidism, menopause, pregnancy, and even taking medication.
- Stress: sweating responds to different stimuli, such as exercise, heat, and even anxiety.
Not taking proper care of the area: You should make sure you clean the area well and use the right products when you shower. But you should also not forget to exfoliate the area at least once a week. This will make a significant difference.
What else can I do besides changing my deodorant?
If your product is no longer as effective as initially, you should probably change it or try other methods.
- Switch to an antiperspirant instead of a deodorant.
- Modify external factors such as the type of clothes you wear, perfume, and even the temperature of the area you are in.
- Consult a dermatologist; if you have tried many treatments and are still not working, a dermatologist can offer you the right solution, including Botox treatments for hyperhidrosis.
