Can You Avoid Hat Hair?

Hats and warm beanies look great until you remove them and get your hair looking weird. Those hairs are often called hat hair. Let’s find out if you can avoid hat hair.

Can You Avoid Hat Hair?

Hat hair is known for flattened hair due to wearing a hat or cap. It creates creases or cowlicks. Your hair looks matted down, low in volume, and not the way you wanted them to look so it becomes problematic sometimes. But this shouldn’t stop you from wearing your favorite cap this winter. You definitely can avoid them by:

  • Opting for caps with loose brims and a softer fit. Don’t choose those tight on your crown because they force flat your hair.
  • It would be better to choose caps with silk lining insideit.
  • Avoid straightening your hair too often in winters. Because less straight hair adds texture and decreases the chances of getting hat hair.
  • Use shampoo with natural oils or hair volumizing spray. They prevent your hair from falling flat.
  • You can also use a textured spray. These products give volume to your roots, minimizing the hat hair effect.

On the other hand, dirty hair with sebum and sweat is more prone to developing hat hair. So it is suggested to wash your hair regularly to give a natural volume to them.
