When applied to the skin, seaweed acts as a powerful purifier, that works to exfoliate and draw out impurities while imparting its beneficial properties. Seaweed powder is suitable for all skin types, including dry, aging, and acne prone skin.
Make Your Own Seaweed & Clay Face Mask
We have also selected a range of essential oils that are known for their healing, balancing and rejuvenating properties. They are particularly good for dry and aging skin and work really well in this clay face mask.
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons seaweed powder
- 2 tablespoons white kaolin clay
- 1 drops castor oil or olive oil
- 2-3 drops of distilled water
- 1 tbsp honey
- 4 drops geranium essential oil
- 4 tbsp ylang ylang essential oil
- 2 drops patchouli essential oil
- 2 drops lemon essential oil
Method
- In a glass mason jar, stir together the seaweed powder and clay using a non metallic utensil (a metal utensil will react with the clay).
- Add the water first and mix away lumps.
- Add the oil, honey and essential oils and mix until the texture becomes a smooth paste. More oil Add if needed.
How To Use
This recipe makes enough for up to two applications.
To use, apply a thin layer to your dampened face and neck with a brush, avoiding the delicate eye area. Leave for 15-20 minutes and wash off with warm water.Read More…….
