Nose Job or Rhinoplasty is a cosmetic procedure that changes the shape or size of your nose. Though recent studies show that this surgery has about an 85 to 90 percent success rate, which is pretty good, there remain some crucial questions.
What happens during this process, how much does it cost and what can go wrong are the main questions that we are going to discuss in this article, just keep reading!

What to consider before you have a nose job?
Nose job is a complex operation that’s why before you go ahead, be demanding towards your surgeon and ask the following questions:
- About their qualifications and experience.
- How many nose-reshaping operations they’ve performed.
- How many operations they’ve performed where there have been complications.
- What sort of follow-up you should expect if things go wrong.
- What are their patient satisfaction rates?
What does a nose job include?

Depending on the type of surgery you’re having, the surgeon may:
- Make your nose smaller – by removing some of the cartilage and bone.
- Make your nose larger – by taking cartilage from the ears and bone from the hips, elbow, or skull, and using it to build up the nose (known as a “graft”).
- Change the shape of your nose – by breaking the nose bone and rearranging the cartilage.
- Change the angle between the nose and top lip.
The operation can be done either by cutting across the skin between the nostrils (open rhinoplasty), or by small cuts inside the nostrils (closed rhinoplasty).

The procedure can take 1.5 to 3 hours.
What could go wrong?
Nose reshaping surgery can occasionally result in:
- Permanent breathing difficulty.
- Damage to the cartilage wall between your nostrils.
- An altered sense of smell.
- Heavy nosebleeds.
How much does it cost in the USA?
You might anticipate paying anywhere from $2500 to $10,000.
Is it worth it?
