Is Male Skin Different from Female Skin?

Men also suffer from skin issues like women. But their skin is not the same as them. There are so many skin difference that need to be understood while choosing a skincare product. Let’s find out some of the critical differences.                               

As females’ skin is influenced by their hormones, several of the parameters of men’s skin are due to their hormones. These hormones result in thicker skin covered with hair. But that’s not it. There are many other changes too, and these factors are essential while determining the type of care and products you need. They are listed as follows:

Thicker skin:

This is probably easily noticeable that men’s skin is thicker than women’s. This gives them firmer skin.

Facial hair:

The facial hairs on the men’s faces are thicker than the regular fuzz of women’s skin.

Is Male Skin Different from Female Skin?

High collagen content:

Men’s skin bears more collagen than women’s. This keeps their skin firm and tight. However, the loss of collagen with age is gradual, not abrupt, unlike women. That’s why their aging signs are slower than women. Skin issues                     

Sebum:

Sebum production is more pronounced in men than women. Hence, they are highly likely to develop acne. Men’s skin rarely gets dry.
