Our skin is our largest organ hence tends to be the most exposed part of our body. With the season change, your skin can suffer some damage, especially during drastic temperature changes. Winter is almost here; therefore, we need to start adapting our skin for the upcoming changes. Skincare Routine
Here you have some recommendations to treat your skin for the winter season:
- Keep your skin hydrated: Always apply moisturizer after your shower. It is important that you also maintain your lips hydration levels, so try using lip balm every once in a while, especially during the coldest temperatures.
- Take warm showers or baths: Never use hot water or take long baths; they will only make your skin dryer.
- Never forget your sunscreen: It is a must on your skincare routine. You must wear it when it is sunny, cloudy, or even snowing. You must know that sunlight can also bounce on the snow and affect your skin, even if it doesn’t look like it.
- Add niacinamide: During temperature changes, your skin tends to suffer; adding this ingredient will help restore your skin barrier and prepare it to deal with the constant temperature changes.
- Avoid being directly exposed to heat sources like warmers. Sudden vasodilatation can cause visible capillaries in the long run.
