#1. Carrot and Honey Face Mask for Oily and Acne Prone Skin
A honey and carrot face mask for acne works best on oily skin. Honey has antiseptic and antibacterial properties which target acne and breakouts at the source. It helps to pull out dirt and impurities, and also minimizes the look of enlarged pores.
You’ll Need:
- 2 medium carrots
- 2 tbsp raw, natural honey
Directions:
- To a pot of boiling water, add 2 medium sized, peeled carrots and boil until tender.
- When soft enough to be mashed with a fork, drain the water and add the carrots to a bowl.
- Mash the carrots until they are smooth.
- In a microwave safe bowl, warm up the honey for 10-15 seconds and mix in with the carrot paste.
- Apply the honey and carrot face mask to cleansed skin and neck and leave on for 10 to 15 minutes.
- Rinse off with lukewarm water and pat dry.
- Follow up with a toner and moisturizer.
